microSAMPLER Editor / Librarian
microSAMPLER Editor / Librarian is a modern editor and librarian for the Korg microSAMPLER, rebuilt from scratch because Korg's original 32-bit editor no longer runs on current versions of macOS. It talks to the hardware over USB and does everything I used the original editor for, plus a few things it never could.
Samples: Download and upload WAV samples (with automatic resampling to the device's sample rates), edit every sample parameter, trim the waveform with zero-crossing snapping, and play samples on the device from an on-screen or computer keyboard.
Effects: Full control over all 22 effect types and their complete parameter sets.
Patterns: Receive, play, record and edit patterns in an in-app piano roll, and import or export them as standard MIDI files for a round trip with your DAW.
Banks: Back up and restore complete banks, including the persistent user banks, and cherry-pick individual samples from a backup.
Library mode: Browse and extract samples and recorded patterns from original Korg .msmpl_bank backups (and this app's own .zip backups) with no hardware connected, useful for recovering audio or patterns from old backups.
It runs on macOS and Linux, is free and open source (GNU GPL v3), and is an independent, unofficial project not affiliated with or endorsed by Korg.
