Video: RetroFlyer Preamp VS Direct Out on the Rhodes piano
Videos Dehli Musikk has created or contributed in
A comparison between the Avion Studios RetroFlyer Preamp and taking the signal directly from the phono (RCA) output of the harp. In this comparison, the settings on the RetroFlyer Preamp is set in a single position only. You can do a lot more tone shaping with the RetroFlyer, and it has a stereo tremolo as well.
I tried to play the examples in a similar way and level match the signals as much as possible.
RetroFlyer settings: High pass filter in middle position (60 Hz), mid boost/cut in middle position and stereo tremolo is turned off.
Instrument: Rhodes Mark I Stage Piano.
